Temen gue pernah cerita tentang temennya yang (katanya) cantik banget. Mengutip persis seperti yang temen gue bilang, dia merasa “terintimidasi” setiap papasan sama cewek itu.
Temen gue yang lain lagi, cerita tentang hal yang kurang lebih sama; soal “intimidasi”. Kali ini pihak yang “mengintimidasi” temen gue bukan cuma cewek-cewek cantik, tapi mereka “yang kurus dan kaya,” katanya.
I kept questioning why this could happen to them, the “intimidation”. Kenapa juga lo mesti peduli sama others’ physical appearance? And why did they pathetically choose the word ‘intimidasi’ (atau mungkin dalam bahasa normalnya ‘minder’) to explain what happened to them? Iya, gue ngutip judul bukunya Stieg Larsson yang nggak tau kenapa tiba-tiba muncul di kepala, jadi ya sebut saja perempuan ini demikian, walaupun dia sama sekali nggak punya tato. Eh, nggak tau juga sih.
